Testimonials

It is important to us that we provide our clients with the best service we can. We always ask for feedback on completion of a project - shown below are a few testimonials from our clients. We are always happy to supply references.

“I am writing to thank you for turning our unused, muddled room without a personality into a much-loved and beautiful space that everyone now comments on and enjoys so much.

I really enjoyed 'working' with you and learnt a great deal about understanding how the different aspects of designing our 'space' could all come together.

I was at a loss where to start and had never used a designer before. However, you made really valuable suggestions that we were happy to engage with because you could see what we needed to do and knew how exactly how to help.

Your expertise in all areas was outstanding - from bringing together some great contractors - electricians, decorators, carpenters, to knowing where to source furniture (old and new), furnishing materials, lighting and co-ordinating it all. Above all, you kept it very much 'our' room and integrated our books, pictures and keepsakes into a fresh, warm and 'new' part of our old house.

Your skill in knowing how to create something that really works is brilliant. I would not hesitate in recommending you.”

“Working with Kay to refurbish a number of rooms in our house has been a privilege and a pleasure. Kay's ability to introduce style and simplicity into the decor is exceptional.

Additionally, Kay managed the project from start to finish taking the burden of organising contractors away from us.

We are delighted with the results and would have no hesitation in recommending Kay to anyone who wanted to transform their living space.”

“Kay has worked with us over a period of seven years and on two houses, both very different in style; one a 400 hundred year old cottage and the other a Georgian rectory.

In the cottage we had carried out a refurbishment project but felt the house lacked a cohesive feel to it and so decided to bring Kay into the project and we were very glad we did.

She managed to add the finishing touches to the house and encouraged us to make braver choices than we might otherwise have made. This lifted the decor and furniture out of the humdrum into something much more interesting whilst still fitting seamlessly in with the period of the cottage.

The Georgian rectory was a much larger scale project and sometimes, when we were flagging, needed all of Kay's enthusiasm and organisation to keep on track.

For each room whether it be bedroom/bathroom/formal dining room or drawing room, Kay came up with lots of interesting suggestions that fitted in with our ideas of what we wanted to achieve whilst at the same time expanding them to give us options that we would never have thought of.

The finishing touches are the important ones that turn a house into a home and Kay helped us achieve that by introducing items that had a relevance to us personally. The result a beautiful home!

Always friendly and easy to chat to we have enjoyed Kay's input and her visits.”

“We have had our house completely updated over the last year. We decided to get help with the interior design and got Kay Wootton involved right at the start.

We have been delighted with Kay's work, as she has seen us through the whole project, putting colour schemes together and coming up with ideas and suggestions. This was particularly helpful during the building work when it was hard for us to picture the end result.

Kay also sourced or pointed us to a wide range of items, saving us lots of searching around. We now have our finished home, and Kay's part in it has been invaluable.”

“Kay was most helpful at every stage of the process; she was always on hand with information or suggestions and managed the whole re-design wonderfully.”

“We had recently refurbished a large detached Victorian villa in Leamington and wanted to use the services of a property stager to help sell the property and, hopefully, achieve its potential in a difficult market.

We chose Kay above the other interior consultants we had met. We were impressed with Kay's understanding of the project in hand and, in particular, the empathy she had with the building itself.

The schemes she recommended and implemented for each room, although in some cases contemporary, were completely complementary to the building, in total keeping with our brief and the impression we wanted to create.

Without exception, viewers of the property passed outstanding comments on the way the property had been dressed. I have no doubts that Kay's efforts played their part in completing the sale we were looking for and, by definition, gave us the cost-effective solution we were looking for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kay to others.”

“We asked Kay to dress our house prior to putting it on the market. We were delighted with the results and sold the property within a fortnight - despite the credit crunch!

We were so impressed that we have asked her to project manage redecorating our new home. She has been a fantastic asset - full of great ideas, able to source the items we need and happy to liase with workmen as necessary.

We would strongly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of decorating, renovating or dressing a property.”

“Kay has just finished the refurbishment of our living room, and we're very pleased with the result. I think that Kay's two greatest strengths are an eye for design, and the ability to coordinate the work that has to be performed by various suppliers.

We chose Kay for this work because of very satisfactory experiences when we had previously engaged her to design and coordinate the refurbishment of our bathroom (now a shower room) and our kitchen.

In all cases the result has been a room that is clean, unfussy and functional yet very pleasing to the eye.”

“It was great having Kay work with us when we re-fitted our kitchen. She gave us good advice when choosing fitments and appliances and managed the whole operation.

Kay developed a good relationship with all the tradesmen and was always available to sort out any difficulties.”

“I chose Kay to help me plan the redecoration of our lounge and dining room. She has a good eye for detail and advised on the colour scheme, new light fittings, and wall mirrors, right down to little details like new scatter cushions.

Once I was happy with the proposal she managed the whole process, co-ordinating the work of several tradesmen she recommended to ensure it was completed with as little disruption as possible.

I am delighted with the outcome and would have no hesitation in recommending Kay to others who want professional advice on interior design.”

“Having lived in our house for a few years and, having undertaken a number of structural changes, we wanted to change the decor, internal design and decorations in our house and so we approached Kay Wootton to meet with us and give us ideas and views.

Kay not only did that but has worked with us and helped at every stage. She has a tremendous skill in this area, indeed inspirational and her practical and down to earth approach is also highly valued.

For anyone looking for ideas for their home, whether it be large or small or whether seeking just advice or more hands on help, we would certainly recommend Kay to you.”

John M. Moreton Morrell.

“Kay was so easy to talk to and her ideas were inspirational. She transformed our dark dining room and conservatory into light, airy rooms using colours we would never have considered and patterns we would have been too timid to try.

The result is amazing and we have received so many positive comments. We wouldn't hesitate in using Kay again or recommending her to friends. ”
